Expression of Interest: Demonstrator Sites

Who We Are

Cwiri focuses on building science-led monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) systems that are transparent, scalable and adaptive to the changing circumstances and requirements for each site. We're a start-up born from the UKCEH peatland science team, founded because we recognised a sector-wide need for robust, scalable and cost-accessible monitoring solutions.

Our team came together through CivTech Challenge 10.6, partially funded by and working alongside the Woodland Carbon Code and Peatland Code to develop new monitoring and verification solutions that deliver higher assurance than current approaches, apply across different project types, and remain accessible to all projects regardless of budget.

Our Approach

We utilise a tiered approach to monitoring so solutions match your project budget, stage and assurance requirements. You only pay for what your site needs, and the level of assurance you want. We focus on telemetered sensor deployment and adaptive monitoring that enables sensor relocation over time, improving coverage while keeping resources focused and efficient.

Drawing on decades of combined experience in land-based research, we deliver a layered sensing and reporting workflow that combines low-cost in situ sensors with Earth Observation (drone and satellite) data to provide detailed outputs and recommendations.

Want to Be a Demonstrator Site?

We are now in a 12-month pre-commercial stage with the Woodland Carbon Code and Peatland Code to refine and demonstrate the capability of our solutions. As part of this work, we are seeking early-onboarding demonstrator sites to help validate and refine our modelling, reporting and verification pipeline.

If you have a restoration site whose progress you would like to better understand, and an interest in helping develop new monitoring technologies for Peatland and Woodland Carbon Code projects, please complete the Expression of Interest below.

This EOI helps us understand site suitability, logistics, and your capacity to participate in monitoring and co-development activities. The only mandatory fields are contact details; you do as much of the rest as you like and then submit the form.
